In Memory of Jennifer Linscott Tietgen
1975 - 2002
Jennifer had a fun-loving, beautiful spirit and a fierce resolve to accomplish her goals. She attended Susquehanna University, played soccer, joined Kappa Delta sorority, broadened her horizons and accumulated a host of loyal, trusted friends. Upon graduation, she attended New Haven University and despite the diagnosis of melanoma and two major operations, through determination, she graduated on schedule with a GPA of 3.9 and a master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
She left New Haven with a promising future and an enviable job with Cisco Systems. Her disease progressed and she fought back with staunch resolution, amazing fortitude and resilience, ever-present humor and unwavering hope; buoyed by the loving support of family and friends. Jennifer died on June 13, 2002. The Jennifer Linscott Tietgen Foundation was established to develop a legacy for Jennifer, to honor her memory, her high-spirited zest for life, her ability to overcome obstacles and not complain, her commitment to making life better for others and her enduring appreciation for family.
